Disclosure | Metropolis | Montreal Show Photographer

English electro duo (and brothers) Disclosure played in front of a packed house tonight at the Metropolis.  The place was dancing and people were grooving.

Not an easy show to shoot, as you can tell, they were pretty static (as most electro is) behind their setups and the lights… oh…. the lights.  When it wasn’t strobes, it was weird contrasty light.  But that’s what makes this job fun, trying to capture a moment, playing with the lights and the artist’s positions behind their setups.  Pretty decent set…

Images were done with a Canon 5D Mark III + 24-70mm lens and also a Canon 5D Mark II with a 70-200mm lens.  My only regret was not bringing along the ultra wide 16-35mm, would of made for some interesting full stage shots!

Images shot for Sorstu.ca.  The full image set will be published there, so check ’em out!
