Mayer Hawthorne brought his jazzy voice to Montreal’s La Tulipe on September 5th for what turned out to be a pretty intimate show. It was orginally scheduled for the Corona Theatre and was moved to the much smaller venue. I’m sure the fans who were there were more than happy to be able to be up close with the singer/songwriter.
The show was pretty fun to shoot as the crowd was very chill and friendly, easy to get around. The place was also about half full, so shooting spots were pretty easy to get to. The array of coloured lights lent itself pretty well to some funky shots. How I love playing with the stage lights in my composition.
