After spending some time in Prague, our travels brought us to the awesome city of Berlin. What can I say, I seriously fell in love with this city. It was the multicultural vibe of my beloved Montréal. People were great, it wasn’t too expensive, found parks I could just chill and relax in… seems there is always something to do in Berlin. Could be the choice of neighborhoods we stayed in, they were kind of trendy, with little bars, restaurants and shops all around. I found myself spending more time absorbing the city than actually taking photos! I know, blasphemy!!!
Above is a classic Berlin landmark, the Brandenburg Gate. We walked by here a few times during the day, and it was packed with tourists. On our last night in the city, we had planned on walking at night, and thankfully, there were less people 🙂
The trees were in full bloom and such amazing colours. Glad to see the couple below taking the time to enjoy it!

The metro system (U-Bahn) was one of the better systems I’ve been on. Always on time, clean, safe…. and on most days… pretty packed
While most cities have beggars asking for money, Berlin is just so cool that they have acrobats and circus performers!!
The East Side Gallery was pretty sweet. Stretch of the Berlin wall that has been covered with new art. Couldn’t help but slow the shutter speed and get some movement in there.
The “Death Strip” really hit me for some reason. It was the stretch of space between the wall. There was just something eerie about visiting the area and actually walking there.
And in the Death Strip, they put up these pieces of metal where the guard tower used to stand..
Some days I really wonder what the story is behind some of the images I take….
There were so many funky alleys full of graffiti and fun stuff to see near our flat. I guess this one didn’t want anyone coming in. For any fan of street art, Berlin is a must see.
If you follow my show photography, you’ll know my love of shoes. This couple was about to leave before I could snap the image, so I asked them to just hold on for a few seconds while I snapped. Never hurts to ask!
On the last night, we visited The Dome… 287 steps up, great views over the city.
