One of the nicest views of the city of Berlin is from the top of the Reichstag building, in what they call the Dome. Lineups to get into here are long. Actually, it was a 2 hour wait to get a reservation that got us a spot 4 days later…. and at 9:30 at night. Turned out is was probably for the best, as we got to enjoy our last night in Berlin with some of the best views.
I’ll post up more photos from inside the Dome, but as you climb up the 287 stairs to get to the top, there are so many things to see. And the free audio guide is pretty cool too. When you shoot through windows, you are sometimes stuck with weird reflections from what is behind you. Sure, you can use a polarizing filter to cut down on the reflections, or in my case, actually use the reflections to make a 2 photos in 1 kind of thing.
Highly recommended to check out the Dome at night… reserve early and show early as you need to go through some airport style security checks as this is the German Parliament.
