You know when you walk up to the door of a venue and there are notes plastered on the glass saying that “Warning, this show will contain strobes!” … you are in for an interesting night! This wasn’t my first time around shooting Young the Giant, and they always put on a great show. Lead singer Sameer Gadhia is a beast as a front man… I have no idea where he gets his energy from!
And yes… the strobes! Multiple coloured lights, sometimes low, sometimes super high. Went very well with the show, not as well with my censor! While shows like this aren’t easy to shoot, they always provide some of the most interesting images for me. You can’t always be in a well light arena 😉
